Later Saturday night, we all got ready for the big night in the Sambadrome. A bunch of people from the hostel also bought some last minute tickets too. We all had some drinks and then left for the event. The forecast called for rain, but the locals thought otherwise, and happily the locals were right. Paul and I bought ponchos to help ensure good weather via Murphy's Law.
The parade had seven schools competing on Saturday night. Each school takes an hour+ to get through the parade. We were told the parade would lat from 10pm to 7am roughly.
