There is a touristy part of Buenos Aires called "La Boca". It's a bit impoverished, and the tourist area is one way that the community tries to bring in some money. Shops and restaurants close down at 7pm. That way, there are no problems with tourists after dark. La Boca is known for its souvenir shops, its colorful buildings, and its tango shows.
