I went to Sao Paulo on Monday. Unfortunately, I left my camera in the truck while Mineiro and I did the sightseeing portion of our trip. I do have pictures of the uglier side of Sao Paulo, as well as some grass roots commerce. This is a picture of the largest vertical favela in the world
This, the largest vertical favela in the world, is an abandoned skyscrapper. It even has a name: Treme Treme. It rests adjacent to a very polluted, stinky, open sewage river.
